It’s funny how an idea grows - like people, unpredictably. I guess you can trace back the origins of Damn Good Dips to a passion for food. My first words were “mo pease” and from a culinary perspective, I’ve always been adventurous.
Leaning into the exploration of different flavours and cultural cuisines, I strived to be a serviceable cook in my own kitchen. What ignited my interest in taking food more seriously and in this case, turning it into a profession, was the desire to balance taste and health; something you could indulge in guilt-free.
After meeting my wife at the University of Guelph, and graduating after majoring in hospitality, we started our lives together in downtown Toronto. In looking for a better work-life balance, we made the decision to leave the city behind and move to beautiful Creemore where my parents have recently retired. Here, there’s an abundance of accessible, local, fresh produce that begs you to get creative with seasonal ingredients.
Damn Good Dips combines everything that has always drawn me into the world of food: cooking with fresh and seasonal ingredients, health and wellness, creativity and of course, binge-eating.
